Hola familia!
Gracias por las carreros electronico, me gusta su apoyo y amor! Lets see what have I done this week...Well mi companera y yo are doing well, the language barrier thing is still hard but its getting better. I am able to understand more and more as the days go on. While being here Ive learned that its important to have a positive attitude and that if I put the Lord first and myself second that miracles will occur. I think the thing that has been the hardest for me is that I have things that I want to say but I just dont know how to say them in Spanish, but oh well with time it will come.
One of the North American leaders in my ward told me that he served his mission in El Salvador too and that it only took him two months to learn the lesson, crazy! He said just to keep my head up and with time I will be able to do things that I didnt even imagine that I could do. The sister of Hermana Glazier is en mi barrio and Hermana Glazier was there this week with her. I always love seeing her because she has such a big smile and she always tells me that she knows its tough but to hang in there and that she knows I can do it. When I was given a blessing before I left the CCM in my blessing I was told that while I am here I will do great things in the name of the Lord. I know that I need to have faith that I can do this, I just need to trust in the Lord and trust in my companion. I love my companion she is so helpful and is very patient with me. Weve had some good laughs too, for example the other day we were taking the bus and for some reason I though she said that this was our stop but she said to take a seat. So I hopped off the bus, she looked at me through the window and I looked up at her in panic and I hurried and ran back on to the bus..yeah the joys of never using my brain. ha
Remember when my car broke down and I had to take a bus, and I said that I didnt like taking buses? Well guess what, we either walk everywhere or take a bus here so buses are something that I am going to have to learn to love. ha
This week we have really been working hard with our investigador Christian to help him gain a testimony of this church because he has some doubts. On Saturday we took him to a bautismo that one of the companionship of Elders in my distrito and I believe that Christian really enjoyed it. Mi companera y yo sang at the bautismo too. We sang "He Sent His Son" in Espanol of course, but everyone said that we did really well. This week we visited a new investigador family and they seem interested in the church, they really like our lessons and thier cousin who lives with them is a member. Hopefully things will continue to go well with them.
We still have a lot of less active members that we work with, and one of the families wants to start preparing to enter the temple so hopefully we can commit them to start working on that. Its been crazy trying to get used to everything here because its still so new, but at the same time its not that difficult because I know this is my home. Well I hope that you all are well, know that I am very greatful for all your prayers and support!
Love,
Hermana Ontiveros :)
